| Wendy Lynch Redfern was born and raised in Florida, but has called Los Angeles home for over a decade. She’s a specialist in music portraiture and since 2001 has put her knowledge to work publishing indie rock magazine Under the Radar with husband Mark Redfern. As the magazine’s head photographer/art director, she’s created iconic images of Yoko Ono, Brian Wilson, Florence and the Machine, Billy Corgan, Arcade Fire, Death Cab for Cutie, Beck, Fleet Foxes, Modest Mouse, and many others. She’s best known for her music photography but has also shot portraits of actors and film directors.Wendy was the last photographer to conduct a professional photo-shoot with acclaimed and beloved singer/songwriter Elliott Smith before his tragic untimely passing in 2003. Outside of Under the Radar, Wendy’s photos have also graced the pages of Rolling Stone, Spin, NME, Vanity Fair, Paste, Uncut, Mojo, and others. |
